Where to Buy Molds for Resin Art Making 2020

Hey! Welcome to NeryChristyna. If you've come across my blog before, there are a couple things I need to update you on. When I started this blog I was postmating in California and now, I'm in Miami FL, a Highschool teacher and I have started a resin art business (www.neryseuphoria.com). Although I am nowhere near where I want to be, Resin Art has become my life. Teaching is a thing for now but I won't be here for long. Did I also mention I've been taking Pole Fitness classes?! Guess I'll have to write a post about that to keep you updated!

Now, what you've clicked on this post for awaits.

It is currently 55 degrees in Miami and that is basically an icebox to me and my fellow Miamians. However, I started thinking about my resin journey and all the things I'd love to share with you. Today, we are going to talk mold making and the top 3 hottest resin art mold makers.

If you are new to resin and you search on google "how to get started in resin" you might find resin art kits and advice on resin/hardener but there is so much more. As you search for which molds you want to use, you might notice a change in color as it varies from mold to mold. Well, what do these colors mean? In simple, clear silicone is mostly manufactured, you can find these on Amazon, Alibaba, etc. Then we find a teal or blue silicone. This is of high quality and is usually made by small businesses. Lastly, there may be a rubbery pink, clear, or colored silicone and these vary from small business to manufactored. There is nothing wrong with purchasing manufactured molds. They still do the job. However, many designs are stolen from small business and well, much like the grinches heart. You feel little to no joy creating in a mold that was not handmade with love.

Unto my contenders. This list is in no way a representation of place. They are all high-quality mold makers and some of the best in my eyes. Please remember, I am extremely biased in my selection as I not only follow them on social media, but I have spent 100$$ of dollars investing in their products, and here is why you should too:

First, we have Zapp3ddesign. You can find his molds on his insta, website, or Etsy, all tagged below.

Molds from this small business are flawless. Some of my mold popular pieces are made from molds directly from this shop. They range from trays, coasters, ashtrays, goddesses, dishes, and many more. They are mostly functional but can be used for decor as well. Zapp3ddesigns' average review on Etsy is 5 stars with a whooping 12,000+ purchases. You will not be disappointed. Second, we have Ellaful. Her work is simply amazing. I'm not sure which is better, her molds or her resin artwork. If there is anyone I want to be when I grow up, it's definitely her. Her molds range from functional trays, artist palettes, honeycomb organizers, earrings, coasters, trinket dishes, keychains, and so much more. Her work is simply to die for. Lastly, we have Aajmolds. You would think that these molds are manufactured in the way that they are precisely and perfectly made. Her molds range from casting molds, flat decorative molds, to ring holders, incense holders, wine bottle stands, tea light candle holders, and many more. If you are a resin junkie you will really appreciate all things Aaj. NeryChristyna Approved.

I have so many other favorites that I can't wait to share with you so please stay tuned for part two. These artists are amazing and so well-deserving of the respect in the Resin Art/ Mold making community. I hope you all support and make beautiful pieces.

Remember, there is no competition in creativity.

XOXO, NeryChristyna.
